Favorite Siblings

Today we read a story about a family where one son gets into trouble while the other son is blamed by their father for the accident. The father is portrayed as an abuser. It's quite obvious. He's feared by the family, threatens them, and shows favoritism. He's also a reverend. They tend to be stricter with their family. I think the father needs to see that he needs to love all of his children the same. I don't have any siblings, so I wouldn't know.

Ambush

The short story today was interesting. I enjoyed reading it and answering the questions. However, I was struggling to stay awake. Despite this, I did all of my work and tried my best to answer questions. I think it's kind of sad that the man has these bad memories from war. It makes me think of my grandpa because he's a veteran. I wonder if he has ever killed anybody. Dark question, but I'm curious.

Kahoot

We didn't do much in class. We played a kahoot and had fun. I got second place in one, so I get ten points on my lowest assignment. That would help boost my grade a bit. Especially since I failed that benchmark lmaoo. They put us on a lock down which is crazy. I was like... weird. It is the last day, but they always do extra stuff like this. I have a game tonight, so I'm doing my blog early to just get it over with. I'm not trying to worry about any work the week other than my projects for physics.

Sub

This was an interesting day. I got the sources done and everything. I also got some of my math work done since I don't have any missing work. Our sources are good. We have for, against, and neutral. I think people who will get our prompt will do good. I just hope other people have their sources together. My coach told us to have a navy blazer for today. I don't have one... However, my teammate should give me one. I just hope my life will be together tomorrow.

No Bookbags

Literally, I took my grandma's big tote bag to carry all of my stuff. I'm not carrying all of these books in my hands all day. Not to mention we don't get lockers. Pro tip: bring a big tote bag. Today in class we worked in our groups. I got to look at the prompt again, and my sources match up pretty well. We chose most sources today, and I'll have them email me the rest of their sources so I can upload them. We did good work for finding them today. I tried to gather the sources in a way that they'll really help those who are trying to answer.

Senior Year

My senior year should be fine. I finished most of my classes this year. I thought about just not doing any science or math and doing most electives next year, but I don't want colleges to think I'm lazy. So I picked AP Calculus because I'm going to need it in my profession. I only chose one AP class because I have to fit my pathway, band, and my second year of French on my schedule. If it all works out, my senior year I wouldn't really be doing anything. Since I have two year long classes and two semester long classes. I still picked classes that will help me in college and my career, but I don't want to exactly stress as I'm going to have other things to do. That and applying for college, getting my extra-curricular together, and working will have my busy enough.

College

I don't even know if I just want to major in marine biology or not. We talked about colleges, and I'm trying to decided exactly what I want to focus on in college. I've been thinking about something with computers, but I wanted to major in marine sciences and minor in a foreign language or creative writing. I plan to pay for college through a scholarship, but I have to start applying for them first. I really wanted an academic scholarship. I think I could get one though. I have the GPA and record for one.
